Prolektro P (PP) Black Thin Plastic Welding Electrode

Polypropylene is the most widely used plastic material on automobiles. Bumper plastics, air filters, fibre front panels, headlight housings, dashboards, centre consoles, door upholstery, radiator spare water reservoirs, fan hoods and sump guards are the general areas of use.

When working with polypropylene electrode, appropriate heat setting should be made in the heat gun, as in other plastics, welding mouth work must be done, narrow electrode should be used on the front surface and wide electrode should be used on the back surface. Cleaning and levelling operations should be done at the end of the repair.

Better results are obtained by making tangent support welds at appropriate intervals at the beginning and end points of the weld.
